Joe Morris

Joe Morris is Chief Information Officer at Hitachi Vantara, responsible for Information Technology (IT) strategy and implementation ensuring the company’s technology platforms and data drive business value and enable growth. Joe and his team partner with their stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable, innovative solutions solving complex problems.

Joe joined Hitachi Vantara in 2018 bringing nearly 20 years of experience. During his time at Hitachi Vantara, he has served in various capacities including as a Senior Business Partner, Vice President, Business Applications and in his current role as Chief Information Officer since April of 2022.

While in his Business Partner role, Joe partnered with his business stakeholders to drive cost reduction, while also reducing Hitachi Vantara’s carbon footprint, through the company’s data center consolidation strategy. During his time as Vice President, Business Applications, Joe led several system implementations, including Hitachi Vantara’s new Partner Portal which simplified Partner engagement and led to exponential growth in deal registrations.

Prior to joining Hitachi Vantara, he held various roles within IT and business functions during long-tenured periods at IBM and Newmont Corporation.

Joe received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business in Colorado where he currently resides.
