UNlimited Possibilities Through Partnership: A Recap of This Year’s Executive Partner Summit
We just wrapped up the most thrilling UNlimited, UNstoppable and UNmatched Executive Partner Summit in Las Vegas, January 23-25, 2024!
We joined forces with our Global System Integrator (GSI) and Cloud Service Provider (CSP) partners to revel in a year of transformation and strategize for an even more momentum-packed 2024. Collaborating with our dynamic partner ecosystem, we’ve become unrivaled champions in tackling today’s dynamic customer challenges through our data infrastructure, hybrid cloud and cutting-edge GenAI solutions, delivering powerhouse business outcomes with our partners.
The kick-off was nothing short of spectacular, with a welcome reception at the Las Vegas Sphere and a jaw-dropping, larger-than-life screening of Darren Aronofsky Postcard from Earth. What an experience!
Celebrating Over a Century of Partnerships
Jun Abe, Chairman of the Board for Hitachi Vantara, kicked off the day with a moving address, diving into our 110-year history enriched by our longstanding partners. Our sessions were a whirlwind of commitment and innovation in data infrastructure, hybrid cloud and the UNbreakable strength of our data and storage portfolios. A lively discussion on data’s role in digital transformation, followed by the unveiling of Hitachi’s new innovations in GenAI by our CTO, Jason Hardy, had our partners buzzing.
A star-studded moment arrived with our Women in Technology panel, featuring our engineering SVP Bharti Patel and Region VP Cristi Allen, our partner Debbie Forster-Nevin, Kyndryl’s VP Global Alliance, and our own SVP, Strategic Alliances, Kimberly King as moderator. The discussion highlighted the journeys of women in tech and the strides being made in executive leadership roles.
SVPs Neil McGowan and Mike Bush took the stage with a forceful duel, driving home the importance of our partnerships in capturing billions of dollars of our own customer base in various stages of refreshing their Hitachi Vantara data platforms. They clearly articulated the value of Hitachi Vantara and explained how we’re transforming our partner engagement model.
The Hitachi Vantara Global Center of Excellence (CoE) had two kiosks showcasing our partner-enabling, proof-of-concept magic through live demos. Partners got hands-on with solutions like ransomware mitigation, storage for containers, data center management and DataOps advantage.
Finally, our surprise guest, Kari Byron, host of MythBusters – and our own UNbreakable video series – rounded out the day with a fun live UNbreakable session, where Kari seemed to have succeeded at breaking the power supply to Las Vegas! Except of course, to the Las Vegas Sphere!

Hats off to DXC Technology, Kyndryl, ThinkOn, Atos and HCLTech for their outstanding achievements across various categories. DXC’s special Everflex solutions, Kyndryl’s global prowess, ThinkOn’s environmental innovation, Atos’s customer wins and HCLTech’s accelerated growth all took center stage to proudly accept their awards.
