Hitachi Data Systems Sees 10% Growth of Broadcast and Entertainment Sector Customer Base in Past Year
AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands — September 11, 2013 — Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., (TSE: 6501), today announced it is showcasing innovations for the communications, media and entertainment (CME) industry at IBC 2013, September 13-17 in Amsterdam, alongside key software and systems integration partners. Hitachi Data Systems has seen a 10% growth of its global CME customer base over the past year and participating in this show underlines its continuing commitment to the broadcast industry.

Hitachi Data Systems will be displaying select reference architectures with technology partners Brocade and V-nova. Brocade offers fabric-based Ethernet and Fibre Channel networking solutions. Brocade VDX 6720 switch, with 24-60 10GbE LAN ports, provides Ethernet storage connectivity for NAS, iSCSI and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE). V-Nova has solutions that provide low latency encode and transcode contribution quality video in real time.
